St Luke’s

Holding Out Hope

stlukessign-300

St Luke’s in the High Street is an unusual church! We have no building but meet in each others’ homes, on the Sunday Farmers’ Market and in cafes around Walthamstow. Our vision is to establish expressions of God’s love on and around the High Street. Join us on social media – we’re on Facebook and Twitter and would love to connect with you there.

What’s Happening at St Luke’s

  • Bible & Chat
Sundays at 10.30am we meet by the Library to pray together before heading down to the First Stop Cafe, 173 High St, where we chat about life and God, study the Bible and eat breakfast together.
  • St Luke’s at the Market
Sundays from 10am to 2pm at our Farmers’ Market Stall (top of the High Street) we serve free hot drinks, sell cake and offer hospitality.
  • St Luke’s on Wednesday
Bible study, chat and prayer is held on alternate Wednesdays , 7.45pm to 9.30pm. We usually meet at Bru Coffee Shop, 223 Hoe St (corner of 1st Ave, opposite Barclays).
  • Last Supper
6.30pm, last Wednesday of the month, in a members’ home. These meals are open to everyone.
  • More Worship
On the second Wednesday of the month we meet for More Worship (see our Facebook page for venue). It’s hands-on, informal and based on a different theme each time.
