A St. Luke’s project – Hope Café

sl2St Luke’s Church is developing an exciting project, to open HOPE CAFÉ on Walthamstow High St.

Located in a High Street retail unit, HOPE will be a café on market days, a church on Sundays & evenings, and available as a community space too.

St Luke’s has been “on the High Street” on the Farmers’ Market for 9 years, running our Café Stall, and building relationships with the workers and customers there, but we want to do more!

So we’re planning to buy a shop… to be a place of welcome for all who use the High Street throughout the week. A café serving drinks and snacks, a church, a community place, a place for all of Walthamstow to find HOPE.

Might you be a future Hope Café customer?

If you use the High St, as a shopper or worker, or even just as a through route, we’d love to have your input into survey – it’s very quick and simple, and you can find it here.

Can you help make Hope Café a reality?

We are inviting people across the Parish to join the HOPE CAFÉ project. Maybe you have experience of running a café, or of developing projects? Or other useful skills? Or could you commit to pray regularly? Once the café opens we’ll need lots of volunteers to help run HOPE CAFÉ, and someone to be its paid Centre Manager.

If you’re intrigued or interested or just want to know more, contact Revd. Frances Shoesmith (07518 467954, ), or speak or to Donna Gwilliams / Lou Henderson (Churchwardens) or to Helen Miller (Reader).
